In the Section of Infections of the Nervous System at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke; I played a lead role in the optimization of clinical database methods for the clinical trials; NCT01730131, NCT01875588, NCT02435810, NCT02437110, and NCT03239899.Additional responsibilities: - I assisted in the development and optimization of the purification of Human Endogenous Retrovirus K Protease, and assisted in creating a biochemical assay to screen compounds that would inhibit the proteases' activity.- I also purified HIV Trans-activator of transcription (Tat) protein that was used to develop an immunoassay (ELISA) to measure the presence of Tat protein inside the CSF of people living with HIV.- I conducted Single Molecular Array (Simoa) assays for measuring Neurofilament Light Chain, Amyloid Beta, Tau, Interleukin 6 and 10, and Tissue Necrotic Factor Alpha in our clinical trial patients.
