Mission 1: Ensure effective planning, coordination for, and operationalization of Outpatient Therapeutic program (OTP) and Medical Services at the healthcare facilityThe Nutrition Officer is responsible for: · Map and identify the healthcare facilities for implementation of project activities including rehabilitation, provision of Supplies, establishment of OTP and medical services at district level.· Assess the needs and gaps of medical supplies and equipment at the health facilities.· Liaison with DHO office and hospital admin to identify gaps in medical supplies. · Supervise the planning and operationalization of OTP/CMAM activities and OPD/medical services at designated healthcare facilities in liaison with SPM and local authorities. Work closely with DOH Health staffs for listing of medicine and equipment and space for the OTP and OPD services and appropriate referrals take place to and from the CMAM outreach and well integrated into the Primary Health Care and CMAMI approach.Ensure quality of services, (basic health services, ANC.PNC, screening and treatment of SAM without complication, referrals, first aid) that are being provided at the camps by routine and regular monitoring·On job trainings of Nutrition assistants and relevant outreach staff in screening, assessment, admission, management, discharge from OTP and transfer to and from the community or other source, as per predefined guidelines.Conduct routine monitoring visits to the HCFs within the district and ensure smooth functioning.·Ensure that the SAM patient receives appropriate treatment, enrollment and referral based OTP admission criteria.· Ensure adequate availability of all medical and Therapeutic food supplies and ensure stock is pre-positioned as planned by discussing with Medical Officers, Nutrition Assistants and logistics·Follow-up and provide feedback to the MOs, LHVs, nutrition supervisor /officer on the amount and quality of the medical supplies if it does not comply with specified q
