Uberto has a classical multifaceted background; both his parents were fine and well known musicians. He studied Art, Classics, Philosophy, English and French. After his Diploma he continued studying Flute in Siena with Severino Gazzelloni and Roberto Fabbriciani, in Rome with Adelio Alfieri and in Florence with Mario Ancillotti. He studied composition with Gaetano Giani Luporini in Florence, Computer Music in Venice and in Paris with Pierre Boulez, Orchestra Conducting in Turin with Giorgio Ferrari. In 1978 Uberto launched a successful career and started touring as a free-lance solo flutist, recording and performing across the world, including the USA, Europe, Russia, Africa, Central America and Japan. Uberto is Professor of Flute, Chamber Music, Music for Wind Ensembles, Music Theory and Harmony and in his 30-year long career he has taught in several Conservatories of Music as well as in independent music schools and to many private students. Uberto is a regular contributor to the Galway Flute Chat. He teaches the Flute according to traditional French School and method of Paul Taffanel, Marcel Moyse and James Galway.In teaching music, he is an advocate of holistic education; he explored and integrated many different cultures into his playing and teaching, from Zen and Aiki-Do to Yoga, from poetry, theatre and cinema to languages.
