Working under the Dean of Alumni Affairs, Team Students'​ Alumni Cell strives to establish and nurture the interaction between the Institute and the alumni. It has served as a platform facilitating communication between the current students of IIT Kharagpur and their predecessors. The team works on facets like Networking, Sponsorship, Publications and Events with an objective to keep the alumni connected to their Alma Mater and updated about the latest happenings in the Institute. We organize events like the Annual Alumni Meet (Reunion), Homecoming, Regional Student-Alumni Meet, Leadership Summit, Alumni Talks and carry on programmes like the Alumni Student Mentorship to meet our objective.- Appointed as the Coordinator, accountable for the new initiative of Student Endowment Fund and publication of the Institute memoir for the graduating batch called Yearbook.- Part of the apex executive body of the Students' Alumni Cell that leads the student members, creative team and associates.- Leading the Design team for all the designing and marketing facets and collectively responsible for organizing the 16th Annual Alumni Meet.- Also responsible for the Literary work including content writing for all the publications and marketing articles for various social platforms.- Spearheading the content and publicity of Alumni Blog to increase the reach and richness of the content.

· Amplified ftsZ mutant alleles using site-directed mutagenesis overlap PCR of the wild type gene at Serine 235 site· Transformed the ligated ftsZS235Ala (ZA) & ftsZS235Ala (ZD ) in pET28a(+) vector inside the NovaBlue strain· Isolated the cloned plasmids and also prepared competent cells of first NovaBlue and then BL21 strains of E. coli· Precipitated the vector(pET28a(+)) and ZA & ZD using CH3COONa & C2H5OH for efficient ligation of the same· IPTG Induction of BL21 cells containing the isolated plasmids with inserts for studying the expression of ZA & ZD· Obtained SDS PAGE for uninduced and induced samples suspended in TE and Laemmli Buffers to confirm the expression of ZA & ZD

National Service Scheme, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Govt. of India, popularly known as NSS was launched in Gandhiji's Birth Centenary Year 1969, in 37 Universities involving 40,000 students with primary focus on the development of personality of students through community service. Today, NSS has more than 3.2 million student volunteers on its roll spread over 298 Universities and 42 (+2) Senior Secondary Councils and Directorate of Vocational Education all over the country. I have helped many students from rural background without enough resources to have basic education so that they can move ahead and have a name of their own. I have volunteered in making new roads in the village of Khelar, West Bengal for the ease of movement of cattle and carts which regularly used to stick in the mud. I have also volunteered in a blood donation camp organized and have collected 45 litres of blood from around the campus of IIT Kharagpur.
