Propeller is a complete enterprise support programme providing skills, training, mentoring, workspace and networking to the students, graduates and staff of UCLan (University of Central Lancashire). Business coaching – our mentors can offer you 1-to-1 support focused specifically on your personal business needs. They can guide you through idea development, creating a business plan, setting up as self-employed, creating and implementing a marketing plan, procuring funding, managing finances and growing your business. Skills and knowledge workshops – Propeller offer a range of workshops that focus on specific areas of entrepreneurial activity such as idea generation, business planning, legal regulations, financial forecasting, bookkeeping, marketing strategy and communication channels, website building and more. Networking – we hold monthly networking events that allow students, graduates, academics and local businesses to come together. We invite expert speakers to discuss relevant and engaging topics on the second Tuesday of each month. Incubation hub – the Propeller Hub is a dedicated working space with desks, kitchen facilities, equipment use, boardroom hire and printing. The space is free for current students and recent graduates, with a small monthly fee for graduates after 6 months. Flightpath – a virtual classroom focused on freelance activity, Flightpath is accessible through our website. The modules help evaluate and develop skills and attributes required to be a freelancer and how to adapt your own skill set to get the most from it.
