Lack of proper employee retention policies. A general trend can be seen that the company can hire a resource at a higher package but it lacks to retain even the critical resources on their payroll due to package constraints.Last but most important, people don't leave organisations but their leads and managers. Corporate politics and Conflicts with managers/leads/immediate bosses leads to added frustration/not so good performance appraisals/poor environment, leading to the separation of the employee from the organisation. But then, be it any organisation for that. Well, in my case, I am lucky enough to get the chance to work with amazing managers and leads at my disposal who actually understand their associates and give them enough opportunities and flexibilities to learn and grow in the most efficient manner possible. They are so good, at personal as well as professional levels, that most of us are ready to take a bullet for them, anytime. And believe me, it is vice-versa.Lastly, I would say that, in IT sector, generally majority of people are hired at a very meagre salary, henceforth the main motive becomes to learn as fast as you can and make an organisational switch for a decent hike. Or if someone finds oneself not suitable in this sector, they make a sector switch altogether. Attrition rate is too high in almost entire IT industry and just TCS cannot be narrowed down on the attrition grounds.
