I got recruited by TEKSystems to work for Motorola on a project to test a new police radio system throughout Illinois. I worked with Motorola engineers and Illinois State Police staff in testing for signal coverage and dead areas. The job included coordinating test areas with police personnel, troubleshooting test equipment and reporting results to Motorola Staff.This was my first corporate job after college and I was glad I was able to use some of the knowledge I learnt at school in a job.

It started out as a part time job during college as a Cashier and I was able to work my way up to the Shift Manager. Managed a staff of about 5 people 3 times a week. Responsible for closing the store and overseeing inventory ordering and food quality. The job taught workings of small corporations and Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) and the relationship between a Franchisee business owner and a corporate entity.

I spend my summer and winter breaks from college working as a Front Desk Associate and Night Auditor for a limited service motel in Green Bay, WI. My primary tasks here were to check-in and check-out guests, prepare daily revenue and goal reports and monitor motel premises during night hours.Working at this position, I learnt the basics of the hospitality industry.

Worked at the local Dunkin Donuts close to the school campus on a part time basis as a cashier. Started out with Night Shift and was responsible for cleaning the store, making bagels and getting the store ready for the morning rush.It was one of my first jobs after coming to the US and I learnt a great deal about customer service and the importance of repeat customers.
