About Udit S. Dasgupta, P.E.

Currently, I am a geotechnical engineer at Arup in New York City. Over the years I have developed an intense passion for all things that relate to the Earth especially Engineering Geology and Tunneling. My experiences have imbibed me with a strong base in soil mechanics and geotechnical analyses; skills in laboratory testing and numerical modelling; along with strong verbal and written communication.The core interests are in engineering geology, data science, programming and automation, soil-structure interaction, tunneling, foundation design (onshore and offshore), slope stability, risk analysis and decision making. In my free time, I enjoy going on hikes, camping, taking care of my indoor plants, and online chess.
