Support the Southern Company Gas information security program to ensure the company’s information assets are adequately protected. Collaborate with gas utility and commercial business units to define and implement business security requirements and goals, and to identify and resolve business security issues. Drive cybersecurity hardening efforts, priorities, and investments throughout the technology lifecycle by assessing, quantifying, and communicating cyber risk to Southern Company and their Industry/Government partners.Responsible for leveraging continuous controls validation and/or posture monitoring tools to assess the security of Southern information environments, building and maintaining strategic partnerships across Southern Company's TS Organization to facilitate rapid hardening efforts when needed, and quantifying/communicating any shortcomings identified to enable resourcing and prioritization decisions. *Leverage both technology and knowledge to effectively validate and govern implemented solutions and related security controls.*Collaborate extensively across the TS team with other SMEs and security solution owners.*Ensure Southern environments and solutions conform to information security policies, applicable regulations, standards and best practices; conduct risk assessments and develop appropriate mitigation plans*Provide engineering/admin support of security posture management/controls validation tool(s)*Collaborate closely with solution owners from the business and Technology Organization, seeking to understand business imperatives while educating them as needed regarding relevant requirements and controls*Document findings in Risk Register as needed, and inform discussions regarding strategic initiatives designed to address known gaps and security risk*Present ideas, findings, and other concepts in a concise and focused manner to audiences at various levels within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:*Summary Technical Experience - : Cisco Switching/Routing, Active Directory, Exchange, VMware, PowerShell, SAN/NAS, Backups, Office365, MS Office Suite, Linux, Azure, SonicWall, Checkpoint / Palo Alto Firewall, Netapp Storage , Solar Winds, KACE, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, GPO, Okta and Safenet MFA, and more.. *Provide maintenance and technical support to the company’s operating systems, including networks, workstations, operating systems, and software applications. *Building, configuring, patching, upgrading and troubleshooting of physical and virtual Windows servers *Obtain technology requirements for various projects and assists in developing the functional specifications for implementation to ensure the customer’s needs are met.*Performs day-to-day maintenance and installation of server, network equipment, virtual machines, messaging, backups and storage*Work on moderately complex assignments, using judgment to resolve problems and make routine recommendations*Windows Server administration including Active Directory and the use of Group Policies Backup/recovery technologies; TCP/IP, routing, switching, DHCP and DNS*Maintain file server health for the region(s) including operating system updates, redirected folders, departmental or group shares, quota management, and ensuring correct permissions*Performs administration activities such as setting user accounts, roles, access, and privileges*Address and respond to customer issues and concerns in a timely manner. *Provide the appropriate solutions to problems as needed.*Ensure the availability, continuity, and security of data and information related to the organization.

Responsible for supporting the monitoring and maintenance of the organization’s computer hardware and software. Participate in the onboarding, installation, and maintenance of all employee computer systems, while providing efficient customer service to all employees. Maintain and provide technical support to the company’s computer systems, including, but not limited to: software programs, hardware devices, operating systems, mobile devices, printers, faxing products, and phone configurations.Address daily individual user problems and provides solutions in a timely manner.Assist in the installation and configuration of the appropriate hardware, systems, and applications for users. Ensure new users are equipped with the appropriate technical devices and support. Provide support in performing analyses, testing, and updates of computer and hardware systems. Diagnose and solves recurring hardware and software faults to ensure the most efficient computer systems and devices for users.

•Deploying/backing up system images, performing disaster recovery tasks on desktops/laptops (Norton Ghost, Clone-Zilla, and FOG Server)•Project leader for deploying new thermal sensor software for store managers workstations. Resulted in deployment to 40 stores.•Assisted in project to configure and deploy Site Controllers for over 100 store locations.•Implemented an open source solution for rapid deployment of laptop and desktop images. FOG Server used in an Ubuntu environment.•Troubleshooting, installation, configuring of the following: support for Symantec Endpoint Client updates, all versions of Windows operating systems, support software, all remote workstations, network printers, other peripheral devices anti-virus software, deployment for store site controllers POS desktop & workstation, LAN & WAN connectivity issues.•Configuration of all corporate devices such as laptops, tablets, network printers and smart phones to the corporate wireless network.•Supporting clients remotely with the help of support tools such as Ultra-VNC and Tight-VNC. Aventail VPN Client used for tunnel.•Escalated issues as needed and maintained communication with customer and technical teams.•Supported mobile devices across various platforms such as Android, Blackberry, iOS, and Windows Phone to connect with Exchange Mail Server.•Daily use of Web desk ticket management system while ensuring issues are being reported and resolved within agreed SLA.•Resolving critical client software issues & managing OEM and other vendor partnerships.•Participating in various vendor meetings, acting as advocate for the client, and providing assistance to legal, marketing, payroll & executives.•Editing and publishing knowledge base documentations and checklists for on-site IT.•Assisted executive and international support teams with: daily depot inventory tracing, status updates, archiving, security and various other issues.
