1) Research and development of new information management and reporting projects in different plant areas with the involvement and collaboration of the respective subject matter experts.2) Creating process and operations reports in form of tabular reports, charts, KPI’s and dashboards to facilitate the technicians, supervisors and line managers in their day to day activities. 3) Developing software applications to integrate data from multivendor external systems into the new or existing systems.4) Creating and configuring databases to store plant floor process and operations data. Enhance database performance, perform restores, implement recovery procedures, handle performance tuning and conduct regular system backups5) Plan, coordinate and conduct multiple complex software engineering activities such as designing, prototyping and coding.6) Performing various activities related to verification and validation of the software systems such as code review, unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing.7) Making sure the proper operation and availability of all the related system software, hardware and network by employing various alerting and monitoring techniques.8) Supporting the existing infrastructure; assisting with the maintenance of the computer operating system, network, virtual infrastructure, shared storage and the automation software.9) Regularly meeting with external resources to understand what they are working, on, what their obstacles are and insure they are setup to succeed.

Being part of the International Execution team, I was responsible for: 1) Undertaking the software development work as directed by the manager.2) Identifying the potential work items from the ongoing projects, estimating the work effort and assigning the work items to the offshore team in Lahore, Pakistan.3) Performing quality audits of the completed work items received from the remote development team. Integrating the received deliverables into the test environment.4) Writing functional specifications, design specifications, test checklists and training manuals.

1) Modeling, designing and development of large scale data driven plant floor, process monitoring, alarm management software projects using Microsoft technologies including .Net, SQL Server, SharePoint Services, OPC (client and server), Microsoft Office Automation and service oriented architecture.2) Working with a team of software, system and test engineers to architect and implement efficient scalable systems.3) Enforcing change management and engineering practices including unit testing, version control and deployment instructions.4) Participating in design and code reviews as well as performance reviews in line with software development methodologies to ensure high quality software.5) Providing consultancy on processes and system issues, participating in new product reviews and giving innovative ideas to improve the ability of the team.6) Management and support of other software engineering staff.7) Continuous interaction with the internal and external customers, understanding their needs and wants, translating them into a working and a functioning software.
