I am a research scientist with passion for discovering innovative solutions to health and environmental challenges. A certified expert in handling and use of experimental animals. During my PhD, I conducted research on the effect of sodium valproate, an antiepileptic drug, on kidney and lung tissues of female Sprague Dawley rats. To mitigate the drug's negative impact on these organs, I used Moringa oleifera leaves as a bioactive food and nutraceutical. My findings were assessed using a variety of techniques, including biochemical, immunological, and histological methods. I also conducted preliminary in vitro experiments to investigate the biochemical activity of Moringa extracts as anti-diabetic, anti-obesity, anti-Alzheimer, and antiglycation agents, as well as their antioxidant potential.In addition, I have extensive experience in conducting in vivo studies on the biochemical effects of amino acids, plants extracts, salinity, and natron on experimental animals. I have also conducted research on the biological effect of a commercially available food supplement Diapin®. My passion for molecular biology and prevalence analysis/epidemiology has allowed me to develop an understanding of the latest research trends in these fields.During my MSc, I focused on exploring the biocoagulation activity of M. oleifera seeds for water treatment, as well as the biosorption potentials of both M. oleifera and Nymphaea lotus (Water Lily). This research project has honed my analytical skills, particularly in the use of techniques such as AAS, GC-MS, HPLC, FTIR, and spectrophotometry.
