I am presently employed as the HOD of the Life Sciences department at St. Stithians Boys’ College-Randburg. I have a passionate interest in education and training and constantly aspire towards creating interest amongst young learners for Science and molding learners holistically to achieve success in both academic and extra-curricular activities.I can, with conviction say that I am highly motivated, dedicated and possess the necessary organisational and leadership skills required as a practitioner in the educational profession. I am confident that I could bring a creative and positive energy to the program, accompanied with a strong desire to work with a team to achieve a common goal. In addition my present involvement also includes working with the Thandulwazi Maths and Science Academy as an educator at the Saturday school as well as the Boys’ College Intern coordinator. My involvement at the Saturday school includes the development; presentation and monitoring of learning and content material related to Life Sciences. As the Intern coordinator my interaction involves the monitoring, mentoring and interviewing of Interns involved with the Thandulwazi Intern program. I have gained valuable understanding in the process of the development of learning programs; the evaluation and monitoring of learning systems and the mentoring and support of staff. I am looking at opportunities to navigate a new pathway in my journey of professional development and to the contribution to education and training in South Africa.
