I am the General Manager at RES in Turkey, one of the largest independent renewable energy project developers in the world. I have over 14 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, leading and managing all aspects of the company's operations in Turkey, including project development, sales, finance, support services, and human resources. I have a strong background in mechanical engineering and business administration, with dual executive MBA degrees from Georgetown University and Koç University. I am skilled in negotiation, valuation, risk management, and strategic planning, as well as communicating and collaborating with various stakeholders, such as governmental authorities, landowners, investors, and technical partners. I have successfully delivered wind, solar and storage projects pipeline with a total capacity of more than 1 GW, optimizing the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) and creating value for the shareholders. I am passionate about driving RES's growth and innovation in Turkey, and contributing to the global transition to a zero carbon economy. I have led the development and tender submission of more than 1800MW wind, 750MW solar and 600MW storage projects, winning 7 capacity tenders. I have also initiated and implemented a GIS system to identify lowest development risk and low LCOE sites, resulting in 100% of projects being eligible for capacity application. I have also presented RES at the Boards of Turkish Wind Energy Association (TWEA) and Energy Investors Association (GUYAD), to promote wind and solar energy usage, and succeed in having floor price in USD to return to energy policy.
