Uğur Umay started his art life at a young age due to the many artists in his family. With the support of his musician father, he completed his musical education in Ankara on "Drums, Percussion Instruments and Jazz Music".Parallel to his musical life, he started working in the visual arts field at an early age in the fields of pencil drawing, caricature, calligraphy and typography and won awards in many competitions.Umay, whose photography adventure began in 2005, has realized more than 30 group exhibitions as well as solo exhibitions with digital artworks. His works in this field are in the collections and archives of many art galleries in Europe and his interactive projects include examples of digital interpretations and shaping of photography.Uğur Umay has written articles on photography and travel for many magazines and is an artist who stands out with his panorama photographs. He has participated in seminars and given speeches at many universities, associations and organizations. His deep interest in the digital dimension of photography has led him to work on GigaPixel, 360° Virtual Tour, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Metaverse and Artificial Intelligence.He has transferred his experiences in photography to cinematography and has produced numerous promotional films, music videos and experimental films. He has developed himself in the field of interface design and coding and has combined these with visual art works.He is the founder of C41 Production, a company with offices in Turkiye and Germany. Uğur Umay, together with his professional team, has carried out the promotion and campaign processes of various Luxury Hotels & Resorts, especially in Turkiye, North Cyprus and Germany, and has generally taken care to create a luxurious, elegant and sophisticated atmosphere. In addition, he has developed creative methods that reflect the spirit of hotels by focusing on the details, design elements and the experience offered by the place in his photographs. It would also be right to describe him as a “tourism professional” due to his long-term management in the hotel industry.Uğur Umay is also the Sony Alpha Europe Imaging Ambassador and is listed among the world's best photographers in the "Hotels & Resorts" category by many commercial photography platforms.
