I’m Ujjval Goble and was born here in Melbourne. My parents were involved with an ashram in the 80's and their Guru gave me the name Ujjval which means luminous or light. Dad gave me the gift of time. We renovated houses together. From the age of three I held the pencil and oversaw each cut of the saw. He is practical, good with his hands and an educator. He stopped the clock in his busy schedule so we could do things together.Mum connected me to a messy, bold, immersive, unseen world of depth through art. She taught me confidence to give anything a go and commitment to keep going and the joy and playfulness of not being too precious when making it up along the way. I was never good at school. I thought I knew better than my teachers and struggled with assessments. After VCE I worked as a builders labourer before studying Philosophy at University. I kept myself just above the poverty line washing dishes, being a personal care attendant and repairing wooden boats. My wife and I have 2 beautiful children and founded 3 companies dedicating our lives to supporting families and children to get the most out of early childhood education. We PLAY and explore with Dragonfly Toys We LEARN the art of Early Childhood Education with OLAWe TEACH to ‘Ignite Minds’ through family day care. We employ 80 educators across these organisations supporting 270 families and 400 Children in care. We are so much more than just an Early Learning centre. We are wanting to solve the problem of how to exist in this society, how to have an income and raise a beautiful, fun, loving, clever, confident, capable, cheeky and curious family.Family Day Care works because children get the attention they need and Educators have maximum freedom to take the learning where it needs to go - children who inquire about dinosaurs can go to the museum and children who like horses can go to a farm - these are the fantastic opportunities of Family Day Care.

DirectorDragonfly Toys May 2014 - PresentMelbourne, AustraliaAt Dragonfly we believe that childhood is an important time – a time that should be treasured, nurtured and cherished. The world of the child is a magical place, and as parents we can help to keep this magic alive by providing our children with opportunities for open ended, creative, imaginative play.Today, our children have access to a massive array of products, many of which can completely overwhelm the senses and hinder the child’s ability to use their own creativity and imagination. Through Dragonfly, I aim to give you access to products that are beautiful and enchanting, strong and safe, environmentally friendly and fairly traded.
