With over 40 years of experience in the film industry, I am a passionate and innovative member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), where I serve on the Science & Technology Council and the India Committee. I am also the chairman of the SMPTE-India Section, a leading organization for the advancement of the art, science, and craft of the image, sound, and metadata ecosystem. My core competencies include film restoration, new media, and video production, which I apply to preserve, enhance, and showcase the cinematic heritage of India and the world. I have multiple skills in digital and analog technologies, such as scanning, color grading, audio restoration, editing, and encoding. I am driven by the mission of promoting the excellence and diversity of Indian cinema, as well as fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among film professionals and enthusiasts. I am always eager to learn new techniques and tools, and to share my expertise and insights with others.
