I taught many of my employees how to run a business and more than 25 have gone on to open their own business. We are all still good friends, helping each other out to create a strong, vibrant Nepali IT industry.My innovative travel portal failed , exoticbuddha.com 2008-2014We spent all our savings and a few years into this online Nepali travel portal and travel help site which was ahead of its time. We failed to generate enough revenue out of it and shut it down. My job search site failed to take off, dmslist.com 2006-2012It was supposed to be the mother of all job listing sites for Nepalis all around the world. It remained a great experiment that made no money,went nowhere but inspired many similar sites. My news portal remained a failed experiment, newsfeed.com.np Nepal. 2010-2012We wanted to make a news directory of all news of Nepal in one page, where we could just skim through the headlines and people could vote news up and down. We lost interest and moved on.I failed as a conflict resolution trainer, mediator and facilitator in Nepal. 2002-2003I could only use my conflict resolution skills in two remote districts of Nepal, Rolpa and Surkhet. I dropped out as I realized I needed more skills and time to tackle such a sensitive subject.I was jobless for an entire year and half in the United States, 2000-2001Even after landing internships in Tripod/Lycos. one of the biggest search engine companies in the world at that time and other impressive internships during college, I failed to land a single full-time job in the US. I did freelancing here and there.
