I currently serve as Security Architect at Rakuten Symphony in Bangalore, specializing in safeguarding Kubernetes clusters and implementing robust security measures. Previously, I spent 9 years at Ericsson as a Senior Solution Integrator/Solution Architect, focusing on system integration and automation. Prior to that, I gained 2 years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Wipro Technologies and 3 years as a Consultant at Capgemini.I hold a B.E. in Electronics and Communication from VTU and an MBA in Information Systems from Amity University Online.My career began in the OSS assurance domain, where I honed my skills in systems design, administration, integration, scripting, automation and troubleshooting. At Ericsson, starting in 2014, I transitioned into Cloud and DevOps, leading initiatives such as automating system administration activities and developing and managing CI/CD pipelines for OpenStack deployments in virtual and containerized environments, and managing software projects and release management activities.Since 2021, at Rakuten Symphony, I transitioned into Cyber Security, particularly within the DevSecOps domain. My primary responsibilities have been securing on-premises Kubernetes clusters by implementing diverse controls through OPA/Gatekeeper to meet CIS benchmarks and adhere to security best practices, establish pipelines for SCA, SAST, DAST, and other security validations to ensure thorough security checks in pre-production and promote a shift-left approach to security within the development team.
