My part of the project was to filter and amplify neural signals originating at the retina. The things I did to accomplish this task were as follows:- Designed an active signal filter, simulated it and then did parts selection from DigiKey- Implemented circuit using Altium Designer with a 6-layer PCB- Managed the contracting of initial printing of PCB with 16 channels- Hand soldered surface mount components using a microscope, soldering iron and hot air gun- Scaled design to 64 channels after testing was done using retinas from mice
