CurrentThe Salvation Army, Belkin House, Vancouver, BC 03/2024 – PresentProviding comprehensive support to clients by utilizing skills in client service, emotional assistance, crisis help, and administration.● Provide client support and manage cases by conducting intake and organized discharge, assessing needs and concerns, setting goals, connecting clients and tracking their progress towards stability. ● Coordinate with external service providers to support clients by connecting them with essential resources such as housing support, healthcare, employment assistance, education, income assistance, substance abuse treatment, and legal aid through referrals and direct assistance. ● Manage crises and security by handling emergencies, ensuring safety for everyone, enforcing shelter rules, providing support and maintaining a secure and organized environment. ● Handle administrative tasks such as maintaining records, documenting interactions and services, and overseeing shelter operations smoothly.
