Dr. Cartwright-Finch, Founder and Managing Director at Cortex Capital, is a consultant, scientist and speaker applying psychology and neuroscience to business and law. Her particular areas of focus are: memory and witness evidence/interviewing; cognitive biases in judicial and arbitral decision-making; psychology in negotiation (including emotional intelligence); and diversity & inclusion. Ula provides training to law firms, financial institutions and corporates, and is a regular keynote speaker at conferences and events. Ula is a Visiting Researcher at UCL and guest lectures at Queen Mary University of London and Humboldt University of Berlin.Ula holds a PhD in Cognitive Psychology from University College London. She also has over a decade of experience as an international disputes lawyer specialising in commercial and investment treaty arbitration. Ula practiced in London, Hong Kong and Madrid and is dual-qualified in England & Wales and Hong Kong.
