My philosophy is to help others create change through therapy, consultation, coaching, media interviews, research, teaching, writing, and presentations. I am passionate about helping others learn about mental health, educational needs, and to improve individual and workplace well-being.Examples of Current and Past Work Projects: • Ulash Thakore-Dunlap (senior editor), Devika Srivastava and Nita Tewari co-edited a book recently with Routledge on Counseling South Asian Americans. It's the first of its kind in the US and UK.• Providing interviews and expert content on mental health to magazines, newspapers and news networks. Examples include National Geographic, FOX 2 KTVU, WIRED, AsAmNews, Self Magazine, The Washington Post, and The New York Times. • On the California Judges Association (CJA) wellness committee. Projects with committee include train the trainer and law workshops on trauma informed supports in law.• I am an expert for the JED Foundation, providing expertise on mental health resources and topics for teens and young adults.• I am on the AsAmNews board and South Asian advisory board.• My role as past Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the Wright Institute, MA Counseling Psychology Program I worked on many DEI initiatives and strategies.• I provide expert content (articles, podcasts and webinars) for Parent Lab. • Keynote at the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), Leadership Symposium.
