Elkem Foundry Products is a global leader within the field of specialized products for metal treatment in steel and iron foundries. Plants in Canada, Iceland, Norway and China are serving thousands of customers in more than 50 countries by strong technical sales. The main task in this period was managing a project revisiting the technical and commercial market strategy for this business.

Responsible for efficient execution of all logistics activities from suppliers to our plants - and from our plants to the customers. The administrative operation of all European sales offices is part of this responsibility. Responsible for the Sales/Marketing/Logistics part of a company wide cost cutting exercise in spring 2009.

Identifying organic and strategic opportunities for Elkem's business areas on the sub-continent. Supported Orkla's strategic ambitions in India, including the acquisition of MTR Foods in Bangalore, other FMCG opportunities for Orkla Foods/Brands, and establishing SAPA's presence in India.

Commercial responsibility for purchases of all Raw Materials to 7 plants, reporting to SVP Silicon Division. Total contract portfolio around 250 MUSD. Board positions in several raw material producing daughter companies. Supplies from EU, Russia, Canada, USA, Brazil, Colombia, China, Indonesia, Egypt. About 100 days abroad per year.

Commercial responsibility for purchases of raw material for ferrochrome production in Rana, and financial/business controlling of the Chrome Business Unit consisting of the plant in Rana and a mine in Brazil. Reporting to VP Chrome Business Unit. Contract portfolio about 100 MUSD. About 120 days abroad. Supplies from EU, Turkey, Russia, USA, Brazil, China, India, Pakistan, UAE, Madagascar

Financial manager and holding commercial responsibility for purchases of raw material for the ferrochrome plant in Mo/Rana. Reporting to plant manager. Contract portfolio about 100 MUSD. Plant turnover about 150 MUSD.
