With transition from Progress Software to Red Hat, I worked as a SME working with FuseSource customers as Technical Support Executive. Continued working on the Apache products (CXF, Camel, ActiveMQ, ServiceMix) for which FuseSource (which became part of JBoss middleware group in Red Hat) provides enterprise support. It included working closely with customers on technical issues and what makes it more interesting was having access to source for doing deep dives whenever required and even possibly do the fixes on apache products and also be able to remain involved in Apache product development being PMC member in Apache CXF and committer on Servicemix.

I am working as a Senior Software Engineer in Progress software (former IONA Technologies). I worked on various product in IONA initially via PACE Software and later as full-time employee. My work includes Working on various unix and Windows platforms for Orbix Gen3 family products, Mobile Orchestrator, Celtix (open source ESB) which later became CXF and Artix. Currently I am part of Open Source group at Progress and mainly working on Apache Servicemix and Apache CXF.

Orbix Generation 3 CORBA ORB implementation based on OMG specification and servicessuch as Naming Service, Security, Eventing, Notification, COM-CORBA bridging etc. It was amulti-platform product with implementation in C++ and Java. Involved in new featuredevelopment, enhancements, refactoring in these products with major involvement in Javabased Orb and Naming Services as well as refactoring of CORBA interface Repository and IDLcompiler for certain complex types.Artix ESB (Java version): Artix ESB is the Integration product based on CORBA runtimeproviding host of Enterprise quality features like discovery, load balancing, Enterprise Security,and integration of heterogeneous systems with various transport technology implementations.Main involvement in this project was from Apache CXF side as well as working on close sourcepart for implementation of FTP transport, setup and improvement of the build and continuousproduct integration (demo test automation) using Ant based automation frameworkXsyte/Xharness.

I worked as Project Leader in Perisol for offshore work related to Amdhal's Database product ObjectStar and few other projects. Also, worked on some project relating to Windows performance data collection and ActiveX.

I worked as a Software Engineer/programmer in Winsoft Technologies. This was my first job in the IT industry. I mainly worked on the Serial communication projects for data transfer solution between Unix to Unix and Unix to DOS platform and some porting work for Pune/Mumbai Race Course to port their system from non-ansi Unix platform to ANSI compliant Unix platform (SCO OpenServer) which was later (after I left) was moved on to other system (I think DEC Alpha).
