Led underwriting responsibilities for fixed and floating rate loans ranging from $10MM - $275MM while managing tight timelines for funding. Total loan volume underwritten is over $640MM. Analyzed operating statements/budgets, capital expenditures, tenant leases, and property tax bills, in conjunction with performing site inspections and analyzing key real estate fundamentals. Gained strong understanding of commercial assets/properties, such as retail centers, office buildings, multi-family projects and industrial properties, allowing flexibility with deal assignments. Supervised underwriting teams and mentored junior analysts to understand key underwriting fundamentals including risk identification and mitigation. Consulted with third-party resources including appraisal, environmental and engineering firms to fulfill underwriting requirements and ensure compliance with mainframe/environmental standards. Collaborated with Originations and Legal to expedite loan closing and securitization, resulting in stronger client relationships as well as enhanced deal flow volume.Prepared detailed credit memorandums and presented loan to credit committee for final approval. Developed efficiency and status reports on entire New York Office and presented results to Senior Management ensuring full utilization of staff and resources.

Performed audit reviews with primary focus on real estate entities including RE investment businesses and commercial lending divisions. Resulted in the improvement of deficient control activities.Developed process maps which outline operational framework, identify key risks as well as test procedures to produce conclusive and robust data for business recommendations. Determined optimal risk reduction strategies resulting in enhanced operational effectiveness that increased productivity, reduced cost and eliminated margins for manual errors. Prepared and presented detailed audit reports to Senior Business Management to discuss issues, negotiate action plans and outline recommendations to strengthen processes.Led project teams involving several cross functional members in order to ascertain the effectiveness of key business functions for Sarbanes Oxley Section 404 which allowed respective entities under review to be certified.
