Motiva is a Finnish hundred percent state-owned company and acts like an energy agency in Finland.My main responsibilities are assisting the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment (MEAE) and the 2014 established Energy Authority in negotiations, national implementation, monitoring and verification, impact assessments and reporting related to EU directives and national policies in the area. The work also includes close cooperation in EU level in these areas. Some examples are:- Assisting MEAE and the Energy Authority related to the negotiations as well as preparing the national implementation of Energy Services Directive (ESD) and Energy Efficiency Directive (EED)- Coordination of the negotiating and preparation process of the Energy Efficiency Agreements (voluntary agreements) launched in 2007 and 2016- Coordination of the national implementation of the Energy Efficiency Agreements- Coordination of the EU-reporting related to the ESD and EED including providing parts of the reports- Core Theme leader from the beginning (2008) of the first Concerted Action for ESD (Core Themes: National Energy Efficiency Action Plans - NEEAPs, Measuring impacts of energy efficiency policies and measures) and in the following Concerted Action for EED (Core Theme: NEEAPs and annual reports and measuring progress in EE) - Impact assessments for several projects and schemes related to energy efficiency and greenhouse gases commissioned by the ministries and related to different EU or international reporting. - Development of the monitoring system for the Finnish Energy Audit and Energy Efficiency Agreement Schemes Member of Motiva’s Executive Board since 2001Member of Motiva’s Board of Directors 2001–2008 Show less
