Storytelling is at the heart of effective communication, and I embrace the possibilities social media offers brands to do just that. External communications, internal communications, PR, marketing communications, brand management, and social media strategy as well as operations are my favorite fields of working. Alas, I'm no stranger to public affairs, crisis communications, or marketing strategy. Right now I work a Lexly, a law firm with a tech core, which I have build from the ground up as a member of the founding team. Building a new business required being hands-on, agile, pragmatic, and resourceful. Teamwork is the only way communications is done right. Now, at this fast-growing Nordic company, my role is more focused on my experience and capabilities, namely external comms, social media, marketing communication, PR, and brand awareness. Moreover, as you might have noticed already, I enjoy writing. Public speaking and hosting events is a tried and tested professional skill. In my current and previous roles as a communications director I have successfully been responsible for several large projects (for example the large scale brand revision at Palta, finished in 2018), events large and small (at for example Suomi Areena at Palta, press conferences, seminars, and as a curiosity pop-up wedding service in the summer of 2020 at Lexly), and numerous publications (at WSOY, Edita, and Palta). I have been integral in building a new brand (Lexly) up from scratch with a mix of earned media exposure, social media, SEO, and marketing both online and print. Development in both my professional and private life is key. I not only enjoy but need challenges to do better. I also enjoy creating and managing projects. Having a double education as a humanist and a lawyer gives me a unique outlook on society, and as a communications pro i't does't hurt to be a keen observer of policy development and politics.
