This opens up for a rationalisation leap in metal industry, where the large number of process steps can be heavily reduced on the same time as better material in the end application can be chosen. In addition, all AM features of the produced parts can be used to increase the performance. At VBN Components, I am responsible for the industrial additive manufacturing process, materials and their applications. I also hold presentations of about additive manufacturing, powder based materials, tribology and cemented carbide wear in rock drilling.
