As a project for two months I was mapping today's structure of how teams of TF Client Services were to work with sanctions and compliance issues in their field of expertise, including finding improvements and set structures of knowledge sharing and a standardized way of working in this subject.

I headed a team of Trade Finance Customer Officers in Göteborg (14 employees). Between February 2013 and October 2015 the leadership assignment included heading a team in Stockholm as well. The job included all aspects of leadership in managing the team in their daily operations for Trade Finance Customer Service, including operational risk and compliance decisions in a daily business. I am appointed risk and compliance officer for Trade Finance Nordea Sweden (incl issues for both Customer Service and Sales within Trade Finance).Being a Teamleader involved also focusing on strategic issues both on a short-term as a long-term perspective. Between 2013 - 2014 I have been leading the team in change, focusing on change of mindset and also implementing new and adjusted work processes to the team.I was a member of the Swedish Trade Finance management team as well as being a member of the Nordic extended management team of Trade Finance Customer Service, Nordea.

I worked as a relationship manager for midsize companies, responsible for an existing customer base of approx 45 customer groups, and had about 35 prospect customers in Nordea. I had a proactive approach to existing and prospect customers. Together with great interpersonal skills I grew and developed the customer base in different aspects for example in savings, financing etc.

My responsibilty for Business Development were in the region of the Baltics, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria and Turkey.I was a member of the management team for VFSI; i.e. the finance company within the Volvo-group, focusing on business in the Emerging Markets and a member of the credit committee for VFSI.I headed a team of 12 directly reporting employees and 20 indirectly. 6 employees worked as Area Managers in Eastern Europe, whose assignments were to find different financing solutions for the end-customers of the products we financed. 6 employees were working in the back office with credit control and managing the credit portfolio. I used my leadership skills in a multi-cultural environment. The area of responsibilities included a cost budget of approx 15 msek (2004). I achieved a 15 % growth of the credit portfolio of VFSI Eastern Europe (2004), both by developing the markets geographically and by expanding through new nieches (i.e. financing of second-hand products).I visited large corporate customers together with respective Area Manager or by myself to judge the customer’s creditworthiness at sight.I had daily contacts with Swedish, as with international banks, and other financial institutions.

I issued credit applications which I presented to the credit committee of VFSI. I visited the customers in order to conduct a thorough credit analysisI was project manager in finding a financing solution together with international financial institutions for a specific customer during the years 1998 – 2001. Deal amount: approx 40 million Euro. I handled the Trade Finance business in Asia, Africa, Latin America and part of the Middle East. The work consisted of handling documentary credits, collections and international bank guarantees before and after delivery took place of Volvo-products.I recommended credit limits and credit maturities to the finance director of VTC / CEO of VFSI for the customers and regions I had in my area of responsibility. I had daily contacts with Swedish, as with international banks and financial institutions.
