Municipality Of Mariestad

Mariestad is part of a Biosphere area (biosphere = a model area for sustainability, designated by the Unesco), combining the ambition of creating an industrial renewal with Agenda 2030 and the Paris Agreement. The area is also an open Test- and demonstration site where the aim is to develop, test out and demonstrate sustainable transport solutions. These are mainly various types of electric vehicles cars as well as innovative charging techniques like electric roads. Energy systems currently contain Sweden's first solar driven hydrogen station, used both for providing hydrogen fuel to cars, and to produce and store hydrogen for energy purposes. As a Development Strategist & Project Manager I have been leading, organising and co-ordinating this overall initiative, and have in parallell also been as a local Project Manager of three projects.

Mariestad

I came to Municipality of Mariestad attending the position of Labour Market Department Manager for 17 employees, with budget turnover of SEK 9 milj. My assigment included the implementation of a new organisation, the merging of 3 previous organisations into 1, implementing new working methodologies, administration and other routines common in a managerial position. May 1st 2015 I was asked to take on the role as a Project Manager for Test- and Demonstration site Mariestad, and thereby left my position at the Labour Market Department.

Jönköping

Medborgarskolan is a National Study Association with local sites allover Sweden. My job as a Local Site Manager implied to manage, co-ordinate and be responsible for the entire business in Jönköping as well as three smaller cities nearby. I was responsible for 30 part time tutors and teachers, as well as the daily management of the entire site including facilities and 3 staff in the office. The assignment also implied business development, financial and budgetary work as well as study administration and marketing. The local office was also running labour market projects in co-operation with the Local Employment office as well as commisioned education and training for private businesses and organisations.

During a period of 6 years; I decided to take a ”life style break” and alternated running my own business individually with working together with my ex husband, who is also an entrepreneur. In parallell I took on various assignments on the market, to finance my the development of my own design products and products for hygiene. I did some consultancy work (investigation assignments) and took some time limited employments indicated below. Swedish Board of Agriculture, rural business dept. 6 months. Assignment - communicating the Labour Market Incentives and opportunities for entrepreneurs in rural Sweden etc.Poolia - Job Coaching, 12 months. Assignment – coaching of unemployed officials, and Researcher for 5 months thereafter. Ny Position, Senior Recruitment Consultant, 6 months. Assignment - recruitment and search of senior managers and higher officials.I also took a diploma as Diet Advisor and a Nia instructor. As such I organised my own training classes, lectures and held consultations within the area of personal development and health. Finally I was assigned to moderate and be a conferenciere att various public events.

Jönköping County

Företagarna is a Swedish lobby organisation for SME businesses. During this period this organisation went through a change process implicating a total change of its own identity, trademark and some organisational changes. I was headhunted to this assignment with the responsibility to manage and co-ordinate the organisations' regional lobby activities in Jönköping county, as well as contribute to the implementation of the new identity on a regional level. My responsibility was also to run the daily business at the regional office with 1 employee, and to interact with the regional board as well as the local associations.

Counties Of Jönköping And Halland

As a Deputy Regional Manager my assignment was to support the Regional Manager in his daily work. This implied being responsible for the communication and lobby activities within certain speciality areas, such as entrepreneurship, educational and labour market matters. Svenskt Näringsliv was just like Företagarna (above) in the beginning of a change journey involving the change of names from "SAF" to Svenskt Näringsliv, changeing of its identity as well as some organisational changes. As a Deputy Regional Manager in counties of Jönköping and Halland, my job was to facilitate the change more or less in the same way as in Företagarna. I was also involved in the campaigning for Sweden to vote for the EURO.

Jönköping (Skillingaryd)

I was hand picked by the Regional Director of the Labour Market authorities to act as Project Manager and co-ordinator for a group of 4 employment officers and counselors. Át this time, Sweden suffered from a telecom crisis, whereas a major local employer (Flextronics) made 720 employees redundant. I was asked to manage an outplacement project aiming to facilitate the transformation from previously being employed staff, into getting new jobs, studies or work experience acitivites for the redundant workers and offiers. We developed a methodology which turned out to be very successful for the purpose, and was later used in a similar outplacement project in the region.

The role of a EURES adviser is a regional specialist function to which I was hand picked and trained by the European Commission. The main responsibilities where providing information and advise to Swedish job seekers on working- and living conditions, social security etc. in the EU/EES member states, and to carry out recruitment actitivites both towards job seekers and employers.Before I started this job, I was already employed by the International Employment Office in Jönköping.
