I run a small IT consultant and developer company. The most important task so far has been the development of a management system to optimize the case work flow, salary calculations and performance indicators for real estate agents in multiple chains of realtor offices in the greater Copenhagen area.

My research takes a marine machinery systems perspective and areas include existing systems and retrofit, energy efficiency, innovative machinery systems, slow-steaming and operational aspects, pollution from the main machinery system and hopefully one day sustainable concept ideas. My main tool is numerical modelling but the hope is that experimental work can be included when funding allows...

Looking into waste heat recovery from large ship engines. That includes modeling of the main engine, a two-stroke low speed diesel engine, the turbocharger and WHR system. Various WHR systems are being investigated including steam Rankine, ORC and the Kalina cycle.

I worked on a project which aim was to document whether it was possible to predict ring-off cracks in diesel particulate filters caused by high thermal gradients during thermal regeneration.

Me and Peter Lundorf established the software simulation activities at Notox A/S. We tested and evaluated software packages for both diesel particulate filter simulation and for stress analysis. Subsequently I made some initial simulation results and a guide to further continue these efforts.

I mainly did research on alternative motor fuels for cars, both synthetic gasoline (Fischer-Tropsch and alkylate) and diesel. I both did a literature study and a number of vehicle dynamometer tests for the International Energy Agency.
