• Responsible for the site's EHS programs that included policy & procedure implementation, stormwater pollution prevention program, HazMat program, regulatory inspections, accident reporting & incident management• Daily face-to-face meetings with senior & regional leadership to advise on risk that might impede operations, associate safety, building physical security, brand protection, and data security. • Working with Amazon support departments to ensure the site operated in a safe and efficient manner to achieve operational & safety goals. (HR, IT, LP, Learning, Start-Up, ACES, Procurement, & RME• Provide on-site support to operations & conducted manager safety meetings, demonstrations during Stand-Up Meetings, Stand downs, & New Hire Orientations. Also responsible for providing managers with safety training.• Managed all incidents that occur, including accident investigation, root cause, follow-ups & reporting. Managed 2 HazMat incidents with no injuries. • As senior WHSS, I supported the region of 5 delivery stations on daily calls, by reviewing other station's incidents, & making recommendations to the ops teams• Appointed to assist delivery stations that were experiencing high rates of incidents by mentoring the site’s WHSS, conducting site inspections & providing risk management recommendations to leadership• Reduced OSHA recordable injuries by implementing safety initiatives to correct unsafe behavior when observed & ensuring associates were working according to standard work. The delivery station obtained a 66-day streak without a recordable case in Q4-2021. In Q1-2022, no OSHA recordable cases were reported & only 9 first cases were reported, compared to Q1, 2021 with 5 recordable cases and 4 first aid. Longest streak was 83-days of no recordable cases. • Reduction in recordable cases was due to initiatives & recommendation I made to leadership, & by setting the expectation to associates that all injuries needed to be reported immediately.

• Same duties as safety coordinator, dual responsibility position. • Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance of 27 company locations, with four maintenance technicians, and independent contractors when needed. Schedule maintenance and construction activities, of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems. • Conduct safety, risk assessments. • Work closely with transportation, warehouses, loss prevention, I.T., e-commerce and human resources departments to ensure minimal interruption to business operations while following applicable laws and regulatory requirements.• Part of the quarterly worker’s compensation review group with executive staff, insurance carrier and insurance broker, to reduce experience modification and worker’s compensation insurance cost. • Member of the employee engagement committee.

• Responsible for deploying the safety program to 21 retail stores, two warehouses, and three donation only sites located in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. • 21 safety meeting conducted monthly on various OSHA topics relating to the operations and risk of the company. Approximately 400 employees’ company wide. • Improving moral and team building by doing group activities at the safety meeting and building rapport with employees.• Member of the safety committee and work’s compensation review group to prevent further claims and accidents. • On going development of safety program.• Conducted quarterly safety drills on medical emergencies, work place violence, fire, and earthquakes. • Worked with worker’s compensation risk consultant monthly, conducting risk assessments at different company locations, to identify risks and correct identified hazards. • Maintained, and updated safety data sheets and first-aid supplies.

Respond to all emergency and non-emergency calls for service in the Community, while demonstrating exemplary customer service and following all First Responder protocols and life safety polices. Provide emergency medical care to residents as an EMT and enforce and maintain HIPPA standards. Maintain all department emergency/safety equipment, train new Safety Officers, and conducted rounding of property to detect deficiencies, violations, and hazards according to O.S.H.A. Inspect and verify that all life and fire safety components are in working order and condition. Inspect for health and safety violations and train personal in proper handling, storage and disposal of hazardous material. Write incident reports on violations. Conduct monthly fire extinguisher checks, quarterly fire drills in Assisted Living and the Skilled Nursing facility and assist Safety Director in implementation of U.V.T.O. Safety Program. Document all incidents via report writing. Incidents include, traffic collisions, thefts, vandalism, suspicious people, interrupted thefts from vehicles, natural gas line leak, employee theft, medical incidents, employee injuries for workers compensation reports and referrals for mental and medical evaluations of residents. Other duties include, follow up reports, incident investigations, and incident/crime scene management. Working with Ventura County Fire, A.M.R. ambulance and Ventura County Sheriff’s Department during emergencies. Promoted to Lead Officer, January 2015, supervise two Safety Officers and one Safety/EMT Officer on my shift.

Assisted new and existing customers with bank accounts and cross selling new bank products according to the needs of the customer. Opened new accounts and recommended best accounts and bank products while obtaining sales goals for the branch and to obtain my personal monthly incentive goal.
