Uma hopes to make a change in the way learning is perceived and experienced by children and adults. Her years of experience in the field of education and leadership skills would facilitate this endeavour. She has undergone training in Non Violent COmmunication and has a deep commitment in bringing alive the principles of Nonviolent Communication in educational institutes by helping create ‘The Compassionate Classroom’ and has presented a paper at IIT at the 6th International Conference -Educarnival . She facilitates process workshops using Theme Centered Interaction(TCI) Pedagogy & games/exercises of 'Theatre of the Oppressed'.Her interpersonal and intrapersonal skills help her connect to learners, reflect upon and understand their needs She maintains high ethical standards and is a committed & dedicated worker whose aim is to make a difference in the field of education
