  I have worked as a lecturer in Sarada Vilas Cllege in Mysore from 1973 to 1980. And worked as assistant professor and then As professor and head , department of English in Government Kakatiya P. G. College in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, India. I have also held the post of dean of faculty of arts in Bastar University. Worked as member of Academic Council, Bastar University. Presented several papers in National and International seminars.. l have a Ph. D gegree from Pt Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur Chhattisgarh.My writings have been published in several books. I have worked on Indian poets in English. Under U.G.C. research project I have worked on ' Oral Epics and Ballads of the Tribes in Bastar. Published a book titled 'Tribal Songs, Ballads and Oral Epics of Bastar' jointly with K. S. Ram. We also contribute articles on tribal centric spirituality, in the Speaking Tree column of Times of India.
