After realising that I cannot accomplish the aim of serving army, started my career being a teacher, farmer, entrepreneur (for one year) until I ended up in what I do now as management professional for international sales and business development. Hands-on:Company setup: Did set-up subsidiaries and sub subsidiaries of a multi-national German company.Team building: “We build people and people build company”. Built, trained and developed the workforce needed for the company.International Sales: My regional growth in 9 years; Abu Dhabi>UAE>GCC>ME> MEA>MEAI>MEA, Central and South Asia. Business development: Turned a company with 500K € reactive sales to multi-million € proactive sales.Flexibility/easy going: I hail from fairly sized South Indian family. Therefore, having handled people of different attitude, I am easy going with most the behaviors’.When I am not working, I go running, play basketball, go adventurous trips and spend time with family. When I am very much a kid at heart: spend time playing with kids and cook. Someone asked my colleague “at young age, Umar have grown in a short span, is he really worth”, my colleague replied, “if you need to know Umar and his skills you need to work and go on a drive with him”.
