I aim to broaden my perspective on a global scale, continue to progress in my field of expertise, and make a meaningful contribution to the sustainable needs of the world's population in a manner that is safe, environmentally friendly, sustainable, and economically viable.Highly creative and independent researcher with good interpersonal and communication skills and a technical and Chemical Engineering educational background. I am a good team player, capable of completing assigned tasks with minimal or no supervision. I have strong practical skills and hands-on experience with experimental setups; experience in research project management; collaboration with industry and academia; expertise in FTIR, MS, 13C-NMR, Raman, and TGA analyses; and skill in processing FTIR and 13C-NMR spectra using GRAMS/Origin software. During my PhD studies at the University of Newcastle, Australia, I led an industrial project in collaboration with BHP Australia, a major player in Australia's energy and mining industries. The project involved the development of an in-situ FTIR/MS technique for online, real-time, accurate spectra acquisition. We also explored analytical techniques such as Raman, 13C-NMR, and TGA. The project's outcome offered a fundamental understanding and further insights into the interactions between the molecular structure of coal and the macromolecular changes that occur during the conversion of coal into metallurgical coke. The body of work generated was invaluable in understanding the chemistry of coal conversion to high-quality metallurgical coke for steelmaking. I also served as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Ironmaking Materials Research (CIMR) and the Newcastle Institute for Energy and Resources (NIER) and a sessional academic in the Chemical Engineering Department. I have also proven to be an excellent team member, working with team leaders, colleagues, and trainees. I have also been responsible for training and supervising many junior scientists in their honours and masters’ projects. I believe this demonstrates my ability to work independently and within a team to achieve the set team goals. I can work to a brief, report outcomes to a high standard, write concise, informative data reports, and communicate results efficiently to stakeholders. My Chemical Engineering background, enthusiasm, zeal, passion, hard work, dedication, perseverance, and being a good team player with imaginative ability in approaching problems or challenges and working well with minimum supervision make me a great fit for opportunities.
