As a Full Stack Developer in the internal tools team, I focused on developing essential systems and applications for our digital banking platform. This included creating portals for agents, enabling efficient customer modifications, and product management.Key responsibilities include but not limited to:- Full-Stack Development: Leveraged React.js and NestJS for responsive and feature-rich web applications.- API Development: Crafted secure and efficient APIs using NestJS, enhancing backend development.- User Interface Design: Collaborated closely with graphic designers to conceptualize and design screens using Figma. Utilized Ant Design to translate these designs into intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces, enriching the overall user experience.- Microservices Architecture: Contributed to gRPC-based microservices for efficient communication.- Testing: Implemented Jest for unit and end-to-end testing, ensuring software reliability.Furthermore, I spearheaded the implementation of technical solutions such as:- Retry Service Implementation: Developed a Retry Service to handle all failing calls for HTTP and gRPC, ensuring robustness and reliability in communication protocols.- Integration of Pulsar and Websockets: Integrated Pulsar with NestJS and implemented Websockets in both NestJS and ReactJS to establish a singleton mechanism. This mechanism listened to messages published by the platform team on specific topics and seamlessly notified users in real-time via web-sockets, enhancing communication efficiency.- Automated Release Management: Implemented GitHub Actions using semantic release. This implementation streamlined the release process by automatically generating version updates and changelogs based on conventional commits.

- The portal is deployed on AWS and is currently home to 1000+ public datasets and hosting 3 national-level hackathons.- Added CKEditor to enhance the functionality for smoothly creating blogs and extended it to add live visualizations through infographics - Wrote extensions to implement custom data fields, new themes, data visualizations, and vocabulary tags. - Implemented Harvesting, an ETL (extract, transform, and load) process for Open Data Pakistan to communicate datasets globally with other open data portals.
