Leading the Commercial department reporting to the Head of Supply Chain. I’m also a member of the ‘Supply Chain Council, which is responsible for approval of all major projects, contracts and budgets. My main responsibilities include:- Development of corporate plans for supply chain division and monitoring their execution. - Reviewing commercial transactions for financial viability and coordinate execution. - Monitoring the KPI’s of all functions of supply chain to align them with corporate strategy- Reviewing business processes & implementation of best practices to bring in industrial efficiencies and excellence in business practices. - Monitoring project & running costs & implementing strategies for cost control

In this role, I was leading the function with a team of 7 individuals, reporting directly to Head Of Division and indirectly to Management Committee. My project mainly covered the following roles:- Working with various consultants to benchmark compensation structures and HR related policies.- Team Leader for implementation of SAP – HCM module and working with Finance team for complete automation and integration of payroll with finance books. - Responsible for managing retirement fund portfolio of around Rs. 200 million - Revamping various policies and salary structures to bring them in line with industry best practices and compliant with local regulations- Working with Hay Consultants to evaluate job levels and devise an efficient organizational structure.

I was leading a team of around 20 people and reporting directly to the General Manager and indirectly to the Chief Financial Officer. My roles and responsibilities included:- Financial reporting (external & management)- Ensuring compliance with sales tax and income tax laws, reviewing of statutory returns, correspondence with taxation department for all tax related matters and also liaison with various consultants and officials at the taxation department and FBR.- Supervising the payables function, which included authorizing all payments, managing key vendors egs Tetra & IFFCO- Managing the fixed assets / capex projects for timely closure and accurate recording.- Monitoring of marketing budgets and assisting them with corporate planning and budgeting.

I was responsible for the accounting and reporting of 6 mutual funds and reported to the Head of Funds Accounting & Operations. My role and responsibilities included:- Reviewing the Net Asset Values on a daily basis and reporting fluctuations to senior management and raising alarms to the fund managers for declines in returns on investments.- Advising the fund managers about the smooth execution of deals - Correspondence with Central Depository Company (the Trustee) to ensure smooth operations of transactions and timely execution of all deals- Assisting the research team in formulating the reports to senior management - Conducting company vide training sessions to ensure that the relevant people have the knowledge of the frequently changing laws and regulations.- Liaoning with internal and external auditors

My roles and responsibility included: - Assisting the engagement partner in the development of the expected scope and conduct of the audit;- Reviewing and approving the planned activities prior to the start of significant fieldwork;- Monitoring the progress of the engagement against timetable and budgets;- Resolving issues with the engagement team member as they arise and discussing them with the engagement partner, as appropriate;- Preparation of various reports to management;- Reviewing engagement working papers.
