SHL is the first specialized mortgage housing finance company in KSA to offer dedicated Sharia-compliant home financing products. Umar spearheaded the Home Financing project with a multidisciplinary origination team resulting in one billion Saudi Riyal home financing portfolio in less than 3 years. He has successfully developed and managed origination processes, policies and procedures ensuring all origination operations contribute towards the overall production. Umar has provided overall leadership to sales, loan operations and pre-funding staff, hence ensuring sales, processing and underwriting meshed well, and operate as a close knit unit for business efficiency. In USA, Umar has been part of a leading start-up specialized mortgage financial institution which created the faith based financing niche in the market.
