UMAY YILMAZ KUTAY, 1986 / Lives and works in Nicosia.In 2012, she completed her undergraduate education at Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Plastic Arts. She took part in many group exhibitions held in Cyprus since 2007. Between 2010 and 2013, he participated in events financed by the UN and the EU in the buffer zones in Cyprus, wrote and implemented bi-communal art projects between 2011 and 2013, and taught multicultural groups in various art fields. In 2011, he created the contemporary art initiative called 1+1, but this initiative disappeared on its own due to insufficient collective art awareness. She became the founding partner of the “Eski” independent art center in 2013, and opened the space with his first solo exhibition, “Neverland”. In 2014 and 2015, She participated in “Ambiguous, Drunk, Dog” and “How Should a War Be Remembered” at Ankara CerModern themed exhibitions. She worked as a material planner and designer at the Near East University International Student Office in 2013-2014. She established her own Workshop and Creative Design Office in December 2014.Her Second solo exhibition was held in 2017.In May 2023, she moved into another discipline, Performance Art and did a 24 Hour Performance of making a dough, representing her Autoportrait. Second Performance Art & Exhibition was held in Arucad Art Space, December 2023.She joined the group exhibition of t.a.s Gallery with a video installation and a Live Performance in 2024.She still continues as an independent artist and as creative director at the design agency Beaz Kreatif.
