Pat Weaver is currently co-head of Warner Chappell Production Music (WCPM) overseeing recording studios in Nashville and Los Angeles, the extensive WCPM catalog and custom music division including the boutique scoring label, SCOREMONGERS. She is a veteran music industry professional with expertise in music-for-picture production, the founding and managing of production music libraries, music supervision, audio branding and business development. Prior to joining WCPM in 2019, she served as Creative Director of Global Music Services for Discovery where she oversaw music for a wide variety of networks -- including The Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, TLC and I.D. – as well as a global team of music supervisors. She managed the curation and commissioning of music content for Discovery’s large internal production music library, Discovery MusicSource, consisting of over 130k tracks, and helped pair composers with various series for custom music including Discovery Channel’s Alaska: The Last Frontier, Shark Week, Alaskan Bush People, Homestead Rescue, Vegas Rat Rods, TLC’s Little People, Big World; Long Lost Family, Outdaughtered and several Animal Planet shows including Tanked, Treehouse Masters, North Woods Law and Lone Star Law. Her experience with original music production includes long-term stints as executive producer at two of L.A.’s top custom music houses -- Emoto (formerly Admusic) and Musikvergnuegen -- where she oversaw custom music for award-winning commercials for Nike, Microsoft, Sprite, the Gap, Mercedes Benz, Lexus, etc. As VP of New Channels at Elias Arts, another renowned LA-based music house, she was instrumental in the launch of their production music library, Elias Plays, eventually sold to Universal. Having begun her music career as an Editorial Assistant at Rolling Stone Magazine in New York, Weaver later headed up the West Coast Press and Publicity division of Capitol Records where she helped develop the public profiles of such diverse artists as Tina Turner, Duran Duran, Thomas Dolby and Iron Maiden. She later served as Manager of Public Relations for Turner Network Television and Director of Marketing for Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab -- a revered audiophile label.
