Managing over all air and sea freight divisions, procurement of rates from carriers. Responding to RFQs and RFPs. Proposing best route option and rates to clients. Supervision of customer service and custom clearance departments.• Basic required registrations of SASO/SABER/SFDA• Develop new Team and Job descriptions & SOPs, Managing HR• Freight Negotiations with Shipping Companies, Air Lines & International Agents.• Planning of FCL and LCL & make arrangements of CY/CY, CFS/CY shipments• Got designed software to support accounts & operations.• Negotiation with chartering companies for Bulk export movements.• Understanding new projects and making their feasibilities / presentations related to freight forwarding / shipping / supply chain and warehousing.• Relationship building with the shipping lines and customers.• Understanding of new Care system introduced by customs & software design• Planning to handle project cargo and supervise the operations.• Development of Warehouse including land rental arrangements inside the Kingdom.Inventory Control procedure & reporting to the concerns.• Managing equipment arrangements for smooth operations.• Obtaining required permissions for Export• Arrangements for offloading from vessels and transporting goods to warehouse in Jeddah/Dammam then onward in transit to all destinations inside the Kingdom.• Development of SOPs to prepare smaller shipments according to the given supply orders and delivery at the door step of consignee

Lead and manage the Customer Service team which handles Air, Sea and Sea-Air Freight. Solely manage the Air and Sea import consolidation from Europe to GCC. Liaise with all corporate and key customers on regular basis to ensure they are served up to the level and company standards. Attend to all kind of Air and Sea freight related enquires from local and overseas customers. Provide quotes / rates to customers and overseas agents. Negotiate and File yearly contract rates with Airlines, Shipping lines and overseas agents. Execute the Shipments as and when confirmed by customers and send routing orders to respective parties whether it be overseas agents, Airlines or Shipping lines. Coordinate with Airlines and Shipping lines for space booking / Container release and filing Adhoc rates as agreed on case to case basis (for Export Shipments) Coordinate with overseas agents and suppliers (for Import Shipments). Timely update the shipment status to customers, discuss and arrange the documentation required for customs clearance in advance. Follow up with customers for clearance docs for L/C shipments. Arrange B/L and AWB as per details and requirements given by customers. Coordinate with internal operations team for clearance process, any prior approvals from specific authorities required (if any) and delivery of the cargo as per customers’ requirement. Liaise with operations and accounts team to raise invoices to customers and close Job files on time. Meet up with clients to discuss and understand their requirements of new projects or any special matter. Promptly handle customer / team escalations. Implement corrective actions and preventive measures for immediate service recovery. Review and approve changes of work processes before escalation to Managing Director. Manage the sea-air freight movement and set-up the SOP for smooth operations.
