I am leading a team of Demand Forecasters, Transmission and Distribution, Integrated Investment planners in MIRAD PESCOMy T&D Planners team is involved in System Constraints study, plan development, Load Flow study, short circuit study, Stability study, Renewable introduction in the system study, and preparation of PC-1s for the projects. My Demand forecast team is involved in Medium-term demand forecast by using different methodologies, developing and implementing transmission/distribution system expansion plans load growth and reliability requirements, and analyzing historical consumption data, economic indicators, and other factors to develop accurate forecasts. This Demand Forecast is then used for designing a Power Acquisition Plan.Both teams also prepare a Business Plan for the company which encapsulate the investment and improvement plans for all the departments of the Company.

I was heading Operations, Maintenance, and Protection Gangs for 34 132kV Substations and above 700km Transmission lines. I was responsible for• Supervising 7 grid maintenance teams, 3 Transmission line crews, 3 System Protection teams for 34 Grid Stations• Managing accounting unit comprising of two Accountants and Account assistants• Administration of 600+ personnel comprising of operations, System protection, maintenance, Line, clerical, security, and support staff.The maintenance staff was responsible for corrective and preventive maintenance of the Grid station, installation, and replacement of Grid equipment. The Transmission Line crew worked on preventive and corrective maintenance of transmission lines, including erecting Towers, replacing jumpers and discs, etc. The protection staff dealt with system protection day-to-day issues, installing relays, and implementing protection schemes. As Executive Engineer (Power Dispatch Center), I led a team of System Control Engineers carrying out real-time system operations on 125 Grid Stations.

Being Assistant Manager in the Protection and Instrumentation subdivision, I worked on • day-to-day P&I-related issues in 96 no. 132kV Grid Stations ensuring uninterrupted power supply.• Conducting Corrective and Preventive maintenance Testing of Grid Station Equipment like 132/11kV Power Transformers, 132kV Circuit Breakers, 11kV Circuit Breakers, CTs/ PTs, Capacitor Banks, Relays, Relay Panels, Control Panels, and other critical equipment.• Testing multiple relays of manufacturers like Siemens, ABB, Schneider, GE, SEL, etc with a range of Testing sets from Megger, Dobel, ABB, SMC, etc.• Successfully Commissioning Grid Equipment and integrating them into the Power Network.• Designed and Implemented innovative Protection schemes to enhance system reliability and security, like DC failure scheme, PT to PT interlocking, Isolator to Breakers, and many other interlockings.• Carrying out wiring and troubleshooting 11kV and 132kV Switchgear.• Due to a staff shortage, I was entrusted with all 5 P&I subdivision offices covering all the jurisdiction of PESCO i.e., KPK province of Pakistan. I had 4 dedicated teams of a particular region and one emergency team equipped for a swift response
