Head of Design for Security Team Design for Security is a design-led crime prevention consultancy based within Greater Manchester Police. The practice specializes in design-led crime prevention in the built environmentThis job assigns certain significant responsibilities, which are: 1. to work with local authorities, housing associations, landscape architects, planning consultants and developers to support the production of designs that address crime and security issues to minimize prospective opportunities for the offenders;2. to bring an added perspective to the design team, that involves:i. Understanding of competing considerations and trade-offs involved in design decision-making;ii. Ensuring balanced advice and intelligence-led solutions related to the context of development;iii. Supporting innovation and creative thinking.

I am responsible:• to manage a team of Inspectors, Sergeants, Detectives and Community Officers of approximately 300 people;• to settle geographical matters/issues for the citizens of a Medium sized town.• to establish network and coordination with local agencies and diverse communities to control and eliminate crime and disorder from the society;• to liaise with partner agencies to establish a joint cohesive approach to resolve issues;• to command and control real-time critical and serious events/incidents; • to ensure and maintain discipline, unity, integrity and ethical values in Greater Manchester Police.
