BJA’s Policy Office: • Contributed with reviewing solicitation grant applications and analyzing best applicants to select for federal funding under fiscal years 2020-2022 (Adult Drug Courts, Emmett till Cold Case Investigations, Community Courts, Veteran Treatment Court, Tribal Court, Hate Crimes, etc.)• Performed a variety of program support functions, such as inputting, maintaining, monitoring, and updating the organizations program pages and the policy team SharePoint Site.• Assisted policy team in developing material for briefings, reports, presentations and conferences needed by supervisors and my colleagues• Drafted foundational writing and research on BJA’s Hate Crimes Solicitation Program and co-hosted a webinar in 2021 to share federal funding opportunities to federal, state, local, and tribal entities with over 40 in attendance.• Inputted and assisted with research and writing of over twenty federal grant solicitations for fiscal year 2020-2022.• Pulled and analyzed data using programs such as Data Management, Recording, and Analytics (DMRA), Grants Management System (GMS). and JustGrant System.• Mentored and trained new employees and contractors on utilizing the JustGrants system and how to navigate through other technological processes within the organization• Cross-collaborated with other federal agencies (OVC, COPS, FBI, etc) through membership in working groups such as addressing hate crimes in communities and law enforcement response• Highly rated in fiscal year 2021 and awarded individual special act or service award.
