• Contributing to technical editing committee of Saudi building codes that are currently implemented in Kingdom for building design and engineering practice.• Developing 2024 edition of Saudi building codes including but not limited to Saudi General Building Code SBC-201, Loading Code SBC-301, Cold-Formed Steel Codes SBC-308 & 309, Concrete Design Code SBC-304, GFRP Reinforced Concrete Design Code SBC-311 & Residential Codes SBC 1101 & 1102.• Working on an innovative project called NovusCrete which aims to develop first ever ACI and ASTM specifications for development and application of seawater concrete in collaboration with Sika, ClimateCrete, OSP, PIF, Neom, MateenBar and Imtyaz.• As a technical project manager, I am contributing to concrete mix designs, testing requirements, quality control, structural application and code development for seawater concrete.

• Supervised construction of a G+17 story office building (LEED Gold Standard) in Lahore having a covered area of 20k m2 & a budget of $10M. Completed 40% of grey structure within schedule at premium quality & no human injury.• Monitored the progress & completion of structural aspects of building through their development lifecycle to ensure design integrity & quality construction.• Minimized safety & procurement risks to ensure smooth workflow; & liaising with client, architect, consultant, contractor, building authority & vendors.• Reviewed structural design of two multistory office buildings as per building code; and produced structural design of 10+ new branches & retrofit design of 25+ damaged branches.

• Contributed in design team of under-construction Diamer Basha Dam, which is world’s highest RCC dam of cost $7.2B with potential of 4500 MW clean energy.• Led design team of preliminary works/CBMs of the project i.e. residential colonies (3.5 km2), cadet college (0.5 km2) & road works (130 km long).• Delivered complete bidding documents of various contracts by closely working with design team consisting of architect, road, environment & MEP engineers.• Produced structural design of low-rise buildings, nullah bridges & water tanks for high seismic areas; & ensured design compliance in construction.

• Transferred engineering knowledge to students through various courses and capstone projects.• Delivered a B+G+5 building of new teaching block (c. area 70k sft, cost $1.5M) on campus at high-quality standards by efficiently supervising project contractor.• Resolved rain-water drainage problem at campus by providing engineering design in coordination with drainage engineer.• Maintained the existing infrastructure and buildings of campus & applied effective methodologies to repair various damages.

• Developed a new cement based material called Engineered Cementitious Composite (ECC), funded by King Abdul-Aziz City for Science and Technology.• Developed ECC having a unique ductile behavior (strain capacity ≈ 2.5%) under tension & hot-weather with extremely low crack widths of <0.1 mm (US Patent: 9399599B1).• Procured construction materials, optimized mix design, prepared ECC samples, developed test setups, performed laboratory testing and analysed test results.• Strengthened reinforced concrete beams using ECC layers and overlays under different curing conditions.

• Contributed in design team for upgradation of Balloki Barrage & Lower Bari Doab Canal system, funded by Asian Development Bank with budget of $900M.• Rehabilitated / replaced various existing structures on barrage and canal after careful condition survey.• Delivered structural design of bridge slab on the new spillway structure, various new canal structures (bridges, falls, cross and head regulators) and officer’s rest houses.• Gave structural repair design of repairable parts of barrage (piers, floors) and canal structures.
