CurrentWork as the team lead of Biomedical Engineering with the range of responsibilities including:A. Lead the Covid response by1. Design, development and deployment of Mini-oxygen plant (oxygen plant made from oxygen concentrators with integrated central medical gas pipeline system)2. Collaboration in research, design and development of Pufferfish (a low-cost full-feature ventilator) with collaboration with Stanford University, University of Utah and Brown University)3. Low cost Powered Air Purifying Respirator (in collaboration with UCSF Berkeley and Pneumask project from Stanford University)4. Low cost isolation hood for NIV applications as well as PAPR5. Portable Isolation Chamber for transport of Covid patient6. Repair of 2500+ medical equipment throughout Nepal voluntarily with no cost.7. Design and development of low-cost locally made oxygen concentrator to tackle shortage of oxygen in the nationB. Lead the innovation team to design, develop and optimize biomedical equipment such as:1. Design and development of "Made-in-Nepal" low-cost infant radiant warmer "Nyano Nani"2. Solar Maternity Suitcase3. Endoscopy Flushing AidC. Lead the team in projects in collaboration with Strengthening Systems for Better Health (USAID/Abt Associates) on two projects:1. Technical Support for Biomedical Equipment Maintenance for COVID Case Management in Lumbini and Karnali Provinces2. Technical Support for Assessment of Availability and Utilization of Medical Equipment in Hospitals of Lumbini and Karnali ProvinceD. Provide biomedical equipment management consultation at different hospitals:1. Western Regional Hospital2. Nepal National HospitalE. Engage in academic research with collaboration with international universities:1. Poster presentation at Western Society for Pediatric Research, Carmel California January 19, 20232.
