Here, from 2002 to 2013 I was responsible for various functions like business development, marketing, tendering, negotiations and contracting, sales engineering, materials management, sub-contracting, constructions, erection and commissioning of projects. The project range covered HVAC, UHVAC, HVDC and UHVDC systems. Further, I have executed transmission projects for various Utilities in India including Power Grid Corporation of India. Under my guidance one of the world's largest +/- 800 kV UHVDC multi terminal project connecting NE and Eastern Region with Northern Region was undertaken in association with ABB Sweden. Also the key 765 kV UHVAC substation project was undertaken at Raichur in Karnataka, the commissioning of which enabled India to have the world's largest synchronous power transmission grid. Earlier, as Additional General Manager and in middle management positions, I was responsible for Marketing and Sales (Domestic/International) of Transmission Products from 1984 to 2002 and prior to that, I handled production functions in Steam Turbine Manufacturing Division of BHEL Bhopal Works from 1976 to 1984.After my super-annuation, I have extended advice to my previous employers as an Independent Inquiry Authority for some procurement cases involving decisions taken at top management level.
