Ümit Yayla worked at Capital Markets Board of Turkey as a senior lawyer between 1994 -2002. He held the position of Chief Legal Advisor and Executive Vice President of Central Registry Agency of Turkey until 2013. He participated in the drafting of the Turkish Commercial Code and the Capital Markets Law as well as in the drafting committees on dematerialization of securities, settlement and custody systems, corporate governance, securities collateral regulations and the secondary regulations thereof. He holds a master’s degree in the field of Companies Law. He is a member of İstanbul Bar Association and Corporate Governance Association of Turkey. He is the founding partner of Umit Yayla Attorneys at Law, and with his team, he assists local and foreign clients on all aspects of the legal business environment.
