HCL Software is the product development division of HCL technologies. I am head of the Globalization and Localization Programs for HCL Software The program is an Enterprise Shared Service that provides G11N and L10N services to HCL Software. I am responsible for the following:• Establishing localization Policies and procedure to be followed by product team which includes Yearly Forecasting and Budgeting based on word count, managing cost, working with vendors, on-boarding additional vendors, internal and vendor infrastructure management • L10N Localization Vendor management focused on quality, cost optimization and growth. including evaluation and analysis of other potential vendors and hence, negotiating services and price with all vendors.• Implementation and managing of Computer Aided Translation (CAT) tools and automated Machine Translation (MT) using CAT for software and documentation translation focusing on early availability of translations• Localization testing service to all products under the HCL Software umbrella including Automation testing and Manual testing• Linguistic Asset Management comprising management of Translation Memories, Terms databases and Glossaries, and Do Not Translate Lists• Automated and Manual L10N Testing• Linguists to support translation and L10N testing .Early availability of translations enables early automation and early automation testing. By the time the human translated post edited software and documentation are provided by vendors the software and documentation would have been tested many time. This enables a higher quality of output and also makes the translation by the CAT tools more accurate over time reducing or potentially eliminating the dependence on and cost of localization by 3rd party vendors

I was an Engineering Manger for the Marketing Software suite. I manage 4 teams including Performance Engineering, Automation Engineering, Devops and Security. Team size is 45. performance engineering team establishes performance benchmarks and provide the basis for sizing guides. Activities include load, scalability and stress testing. Automation engineering creates new test cases, automates the backlog, executes and analyzes failure Security team's performs AppScan scans and analysis, identifies security vulnerabilities. Devops is responsible for build acquisition, deployment, platform provisioning, product installations and infrastructure managementPreviously I was Engineering Manager for the Shared Business Sevies Platform which enables and supports different vendors and their subscriptions; heading a team of 15 to 20 members. I own Quality Engineering for the SBS Cloud Platform. I am responsible for all the Automation Engineering, performance and functional testing, all test deliverables and ensuring continuous improvement to the test process, artifacts, coverage and automation stability. Feature code and Quality Engineering code are delivered in Continuous Delivery mode within the Agile framework. SBS being a SaaS offering requires code to be continuously delivered, hence CD was adopted as the delivery vehicle.. This is a Global Role and mine is the largest QE team in SBS. I was also L3 support manager for SBS. I functionally manage 6 people in India, Ireland and the US.Prior this role I was the Manager of Globalization (G11N) for the Cognos product line. I directly managed a team of 14 people. In conjunction with our Canada counterpart we were responsible for testing the internationalization (I18N) and all the localizations for the entire Cognos product line, which include both Cognos 7 and Congos 8 products. At any given point in time there were at least 2 G11N projects in progress. Currently Scrum has been implemented in two teams across Cognos.

Sr. Manager Quality Engineering in Pune. I was overseeing the quality of all deliverables coming out of the Pune office and was directly responsible for the Integrated Automation (Silk Test and API level) testing framework program and the Platform components of the Saba product

As Manager – QA in the Service Management Business Unit (SMBU) of BMCI, I managed a team of 24 whose primarily role was the testing and delivery of our Small-to-Medium Business service management and helpdesk product called BMC Service Desk Express (previously known as Magic Service Desk). The salient developments since I joined BMC include• Adoption of the Scrum Methodology of AGILE development and testing (I am a Certified Scrum Master)• Joint responsibility for defining the test strategy for every phase and release of the product• Execution of 80% of the testing of the product in our Pune center• Collaborative test management with the US team• Bandwidth consumption testing and form load time testing• Internationalization testing of the product• Localization testing (German, French, Simplified Chinese)• Implementation of Automation for a significant percentage of all the test cases

I worked with TCS from 1994 to 2004 and from December 1999 onwards I was part of TCS’ Enterprise Systems Performance service practice. The practice provides services in Performance engineering including• System Sizing and Capacity Planning • Proof of Performance, Benchmarking, Load testing• System Performance Review• Demand Management by iterative  Performance Monitoring System Tuning and OptimizationFrom this practice I have been the manager/consultant for multiple performance and testing projects
